Ingredients for 2 Servings

  • 350 gms

    Beetroot

  • 1 tbs

    Onion

  • 1 clove

    Garlic

  • 1 tbs

    Olive oil

  • 1 tbs

    Cooking oil

  • 1 tsp

    Salt

  • ⅙ tsp

    Black pepper

  • 1 tsp

    Lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Heat the cooking oil and cook the sliced onion and garlic until slightly brown, then set aside.

  2. Use the same pot and add the thinly sliced beetroots. Cover with a lid and cook the beetroot without water for about 6 minutes. Stir in between.

  3. Now put the beetroot into a blender together with the cooked onion and garlic. Add 1¼ cups of water, and blend until you get a smooth paste.

  4. Warm in a pot before serving and add lemon juice and salt.
