Golden Latte

Golden Latte has a centuries-old tradition in Ayurvedic teaching. The drink is not only very quick and easy to prepare, but also incredibly healthy. Turmeric is a versatile spice that is full of antioxidants and can, among other things, strengthen the immune system. It also has anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric is a real powerhouse, which becomes a very special treat with this recipe!

Ingredients for 1 Serving

  • ½ tsp

    Turmeric powder

  • 1 inch stick

    Cinnamon

  • 1 inch long

    Cardamom

  • 2 big pinches

    Nutmeg

  • ½

    Star anise

  • 250 ml

    Cow milk or nut milk

  • 100 ml

    Water

  • 1 tbsp

    Palm sugar

  • 1 big pinch

    Black pepper

Preparation

  1. Crush all the spices in pestle and mortar or in a coffee grinder.

  2. Heat the water, add the spices, cover the lid and bring to a boil. Turn the flame to low, add the milk and turmeric and keep mixing with a whisk until the mixture starts to boil again. Add the palm sugar and simmer for 1 minute.

  3. Filter and enjoy

Notes

Great to have in the evening around 4 pm or if you are not feeling hungry for dinner but want to fill up your stomach at dinner time, a good satisfying substitute.
