Masala Chai is a traditional tea drink with spices and milk that originates in India. But not only there is the Masala Chai a real cult drink, it is also very popular in the Western world. Ingredients for 1 – 2 Servings

  • 1 tsp

    Fresh ginger

  • ¼ tsp

    Cinnamon powder

  • ¼ tsp /2 pods

    Cardamom powder

  • 1/8 tsp

    Nutmeg

  • 300 ml

    Water

  • 175 ml

    Milk (dairy or nut milk)

  • 2-3 tsp

    Palm sugar

  • 1½ tsp

    Black tea

Preparation

  1. Heat the water in a pot with all the spices. When it boils add the black tea powder, simmer for a minute then add milk and bring it to boil.

  2. Filter through a sieve, and serve with brown sugar on the side.
