We have given the classic porridge recipe an ayurvedic twist. Ingredients for 1 Serving

  • ¼ cup

    Rolled Oats

  • 2 tbsp

    Coconut cream

  • ¼ cup

    Cow milk or nut milk

  • ¾ cup

    Water

  • 1 tsp

    Chia seeds

  • 1 tsp

    Walnuts chopped

  • 1 tbsp

    Palm sugar or honey

  • ¼ tsp

    Cinnamon powder

Preparation

  1. In a pot add the oats and the water and cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes.

  2. Add the coconut milk and nut milk or cow’s milk and palm sugar and cook for another 2 minutes. If it’s too thick add a little water.

  3. Turn off the flame, add chia seeds and walnuts, and mix well. If using honey just add it when the heat has cooled down and ready to eat

Notes

For Kapha, skip cow milk or nut milk.
